It is designed as a walking guide and there are thirteen walks which take the reader through many of the most interesting parts of the city. There are also tours of nine of the city`s graveyards. Over seven hundred places are described in the book and numerous buildings of architectural interest are included. As well as a detailed article on the city`s architecture there are special articles on our two best known architects, Charles Rennie Mackintosh and Alexander Thomson.
